Victoria Wainwright

Most of my inspiration comes from the everyday, with a few bits of silliness thrown in. I love silver but also experiment with adding bits of gold, copper and enamel.

I have a naturally illustrative look at life through my work as an artist. And like many creative people I just can’t seem to stay in one artistic world. I initially began my attempt at adulthood with a degree in English, then decided to tread the boards for about ten years, acting up in various plays across the land until I was mainly doing illustrations and art projects. But I love jewellery and so I started making it and then selling it. I teach art at the Adult Ed too, for which I have great respect as it is where I learnt how to put a silver castle together. I am a regular participant in the South East Open Studios and on the committee.
