Joining ArtSpring Gallery
The ArtSpring Gallery is a stylish and friendly artist-run contemporary gallery situated at the historic north end of Tonbridge High Street. Since it’s opening in July 2016 the gallery has received glowing reviews from many visitors and we have forged links with local businesses and support local community initiatives.
We formed this collaborative project with 18 artists to bring high quality local and regional artists’ work including Fine Art, Printmaking, Ceramics, Glass and Jewellery to West Kent. Come and visit the gallery to discover the styles of our artists work and find out more about us.
We’d love to hear from you if you feel you would like to join our collective as a member or if you might be interested in showing your work with us for two months as a guest artist, which does not require any involvement in the running of the gallery.
HOW WE WORK
We have a number of teams each of which is responsible for a different aspect of running the gallery. Currently these include but are not limited to:-

Submissions & Recruitment
All of our artists take turns at spending a day in the gallery on a flexible rota to allow for regular or other commitments. This means stewarding approximately once every 3 weeks.
It is important to the smooth running of the gallery that each individual brings an additional skill, besides their extraordinary artwork, to help support the gallery.
We do have a short waiting list of artists. We do not however process this in strict order but rather based on how the type of work and skills will fit with each vacancy as it arises. We would therefore love to hear from you.
All new artists and guest artists are introduced via a special event which is usually the First Saturday of each month. This is promoted via our newsletter, social media platforms and posters in the gallery. We also place a profile of each artist on our website with regular posts on making and finished pieces on social media.
Because we are a collective we try to involve all members in our decision making process and hold group meeting every 6-8 weeks to discuss ongoing plans and events.

6 clear JPEG images (no larger than 1MB each)
A note of additional skills (inc. Social Media, PR, Marketing or others that you think will help support the gallery)
A member of our submissions team will aim to get back to you within a week or so with an initial response.
