Rebecca Laister

Rebecca works with fused glass, utilising the chemical reactions that occur when particular colours of glass touch and are exposed to high temperatures. The resultant glass is then deconstructed and used to create unique, one-off pieces.

Rebecca’s work is heavily influenced by her interest in geology and the living world. Her colour palette is usually muted and restricted to neutral tones.

She is a member of the Contemporary Glass Society and Just Glass, and has exhibited in the South East as well as having had work selected by the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) and The Royal Ulster Academy.
